I have been going crazy because I have not been taking pictures. Well, a while back when I would turn on the camera, it would shake. I thought it was because I was putting it my purse, well, trying not to, but I would put it in my purse, and I thought maybe a piece of dust got in the lens and made it shake.
Good news? Only 75 Dollars to fix it... Bad news? Took not nly forever to get it back but when we did the guy said he wanted 320 Liras which is more like 170 Dollars, not the original 150 liars... WHAT DAWG??? Yeah... What an A$$.
I say that with kindness.
I am tired of people here duping me. He sat there and tried to get me to tell him (through Long Rock as a Translator) how much my camera was in USA... WHY? I gave the guy a look like... What? OK in USA do we have to tell whom ever fixes our camera how much we paid for it and have the guy tell you over and over how great the camera is? Just plain weird.
In USA when you get a camera that needs to be fixed, they ask you if it is under the warranty or whatever but htey don't be jerks about it.
Sigh... One thing I miss about USA. OK so we have weird people but there are more weirdos here and more people jealous of everyone here too.
Back to my story...
I am happy I got my camera back. Long Rock bought me the best camera case we could fins. It is a Kodak Case for a Nikon but hey... We can not find Nikon cases anywhere!
It is a nice case though and will serve it's purpose.
So...
I am back in Business BABY!!!

I am announcing:::
A week ago I got it!!! I got my camera that The Long Rock (a loving name I so fondly call him from time to time) bought us.
It is for snap shots and just until we can get another one. He wants a Cannon and I want an Alpha... BUT we have one for now! We are so excited! my only problem is that he wants to use it for a couple of days and I will miss it terribly!
Let me show you the one we have. It is very simple and very basic but I really am excited to learn about it and I have been having fun learning its capabilities.
We have now a Nikon Coolpix P80. It is really really nice and takes really great pictures. If you recall, I might have mentioned that last year I did drop my own Nikon CoolPix, and I was so sad. The Second camera I did inherit was a Samsung, but by my birthday (about three months of using it) the lens did not open and close correctly. I did not drop it either... It just stopped working. The weird thing that happened is it started to not charge the battery as well and then the camera would not focus correctly. You could have it on any setting and every picture ended up so fuzzy. Then, the lens would not open and close. So, By March The Bear had let me use his Camera. It was a Sony and it was really nice one. I really liked it. But for some reason I was distracted once sitting with him and did not notice someone stealing it from my purse. It is the only way I can think of that it left me. So May I had none. Now I have a new Coolpix P80. I am excited. I love Cameras so very much and I love taking pictures. Here is a pic of very own camera:
I am really excited to learn how to use this and I think I will really be taking some marvelous pictures with this new machine of mine (ours... I keep saying mine! Hahaha)
Thanks to the Bear it is all possible. What a sweet heart! He is so good to me

Cameras::: I might be somewhat a Shutterbug!
The following is a conformation to missing my camera, reader beware. No cameras were hurt in the process of making this blog:
I want a camera!!!
Here is what I have been wanting to take pictures of but have not been able to, because my camera is missing:
I totally and completely miss taking pictures of my students. I have tons of them and would have loved to have taken pictures of them for fun ! But now I can not this end of the school year! That would have been awesome... Bummer.
See how I will miss taking these pics?
So, I have been doing some window shopping (Although I like real shopping! I hate just looking!)
Here is one camera I have been enjoying
The Nikon Coolpix L110. This shooter is awesome! Here are some features I like about it
It takes HDTV Videos (for me going to USA and taking videos will be great way for Snuggle to see what I am doing in the day, I wanted to take a video of me everyday)
3 in screen with anti flare and vivid viewing of the pictures or the videos.
Sport Continuous Mode: This allows you to shoot rapid pictures, as many as 20 pictures in as fast as 11.1 frame per second.
Vibration Reduction: This is so you can take pictures that are as vivid as possible. The pictures wilt have a more clear and crisp look to them.
Easy Auto Mode: This will allow you to point and shoot with out worrying about the setting. The camera will automatically do it for you!
Smart Portrait System Exclusive to Nikon : This can in one picture detect smiles of up to 12 different people and will shoot when subjects are smiling and detects faces. This will warn you if in a multi-faced picture one face closed their eyes during a shot...
Here are the other features for the Nikon Coolpix L110
I have heard now for the last couple months that the Sony Alpha is now the cat's meow...
Let's see why:
First of all, The sleek look it has.
Have you seen it?
It has a modern nostalgia to it which all us women fall madly for. We like something that reminds us of our birthday's long ago and then the feeling that we are looking into a that older type camera but... Modern updates. We love modernization!
The Alpha Nex 5 k by Sony has interchangeable lenses. We like that!
It is 8 onces, which is rather light weight considering this Mac Daddy.
It has all the qualities of the DSRL but half the weight and half the size and: half the complexities! Like it? I am loving it so far. For one, the Sensor is better. The sensor is 13 times the older size. What does this mean to us that do not know much about cameras? We are taking real photographs not snapshots anymore!
High continuous shooting, Sweep panorama, Auto Motion and Anti Blur, Three shoot continuous self timer, right now it s the worlds first and only interchangeable lens that continuous it's HD quality with every lens. No other camera in the world does that !!
The lens it's self is the best quality, but this has raised the bar in photography experience.
With raving reviews, this one will certainly start turning heads. So far, this one is my vote.
But to be fair, I have one more to do.
The Canon EOS Rebel T3i
weighs 3.5 pounds (for those of you on the metric system that is 1.5 kilos)
The Rebel can shoot very dim light to bright light and the pictures will come out really clear. This is good for all the concerts you will be going to at night and all the fun you can have in Las Vegas with your cousins (I added that part because I have family there, I can see me wanting to take tons of pics at the Blue Man Show)
The Rebel can take HD Videos at 1920 x 1080 resolution.
The sensor in this sleek baby is quite remarkable.. Prior to this sensor, many pictures remained dark and when trying to manually expose the light to the image, it made the pictures not clear and vivid. Canon revolutionized those sensors and BAM! Great imagery on low light.
On HDTV Mode this awesome camera can zoom in to magnify at 3-10xs!
In addition, this HDTV mode is unique because there are many settings and ways to film, g,v,ng you more options for making your Movies, or Videos, there are three recording sizes.
Automatic Scene Analysis for Stand out Color, multioptions (yes: That is MY word) for where you are and what you want in your picture, multi filters, even atomsphere options for more vibrant to more softer hues in your pictures.
This has continuous shooting, up to three frames per second.
Compatible with many memory card sizes, SD, SDHC, SDXC
Also this Canon has a wifi wireless option, face finding and a feature called Eye-Fi. for wireless transfer options; howwever some parts of the world it may not be available yet.
Flashes can take pictures as far as 35 feet away (that is 10.66 meters)
Which ever one you chose, remember that it is about the one that is best for you and the one that works for your budget.

My unfortunate mishap part II
I just wanted to post some pics to prove I had my camera before I found it was teleported out of my purse. Erkan and I know in turkey there are some of the most professional pick pocketers... Anyway... Here is pic evidence.
Notice how discreetly I was taking pics of the Tea Garden by the sea side... Smart ehy???
The Snuggle and me having fun before we left the Tea Garden. (Ok... I had to sneak this one in)
Below, trying to take pics of the cute little Turkish Family
Here I am taking another pic of the family. You can't even tell... I know! I am so amazing

Just stopping in to say...
It has been a week since my camera s missing and I am being called a camera killer. Should I be more upset that the perpetrator doesn't read my blog and try to figure out how to return a camera or that I will never beloved see my beloved camera again or that I have not been able to save money as wisely as I wanted and now have hardly any money to replace it when I get back to USA? All of which are very rational reasons for being upset.
I still am trying to figure out how it was missing and so fast. It doesn't make sense to me as if I dropped it I certainly would have known because it was around my wrist. Also I never would have heard the end of it from The Snuggle. I am so saddened as I went t work this past week in another city. I seriously saw a man working at a marble place that sells all kinds of tiles for homes and he was out side doused in marble dust or something when he decided that along the highway no one will see him as he removes his clothes but not his underwear and shook off the dust, putting him in a white cloud of dust and his green underwear with white trim and yes... they were tighties!!! Yes it was quite a funny sight. I am missing that camera a lot. I will have to figure out something. İ can not stop taking pictures.I have nothing more to say. I will fix a bathroom sink and not be able to take pics to prove to everyone that I am doing it. Until next time...

My unfortunate mishap
So, as I write this I am truly saddened. I had to unexpectedly say good bye to a dear dear friend. This friend i not the conventional type at all. Rather, a machine. Let me tell you what happened. I am a huge camera freak. I love them and I love taking pictures more than anything. I have always had a camera kept on me because you just really never know when you will have to have one and here in Turkey it is times 100 that I see something that I need to take a picture. Sunday I went to see the snuggle in Silivri. I of course took my camera, rather because of a terrible death of my 6 year old Nikon Coolpix that I loved dearly, the snuggles Sony was the one I used from COOLPIX demise until the fateful day. We were walking around and I got some amazing photos with the camera. Snuggle loved them so much and I had a wonderful blog in my mind and everything. Snuggle said that because I love taking pictures so much I could use the Sony to go to U.S.A. this Summer. I finished a video of us at a Çay Bahaçe when snuggle took more pictures of me... I was holding Sony and discreetly taking pictures of a family that was so cute, (proof that I did not leave the Bahaçe with out the Sony) and we went walking along the sea side some more. We sat down and were talking, when snuggle's brother, Buggle (since Snuggle's name rhymes in real life with his brother's name in real life I thought it would be really nice to have his brother name rhyme in my blog...)came walking by. Buggle was with his lady friend. We talked for a few minutes and then they walked on so we got up. I do not know what happened at that point but 15-20 minutes later we found ourselves in a café and wanting to look at our Sony pictures and take pictures of Snuggle when lo, to my dismay found that I had not Sony in my purse. I ran back to the scene of the crime where our beloved Sony was kidnapped and being held hostage by now a new Turkish owner that will no doubt drop him and get him dirty and not take care of him and love taking picture with him the way I ever could!!! As you can clearly see... I am still emotional about the kidnap and implore anyone that was on the seaside near the Öğertmenler Evi and the Balık Merkezi to please please turn in the Sony because you will never ever love and appreciate something that is not rightfully yours to begin with and if you do not I hope that Zombies eat you alive and you are in terrible pain for not returning Sony to the Polis. You know who you are too. Oh yeah... If I see you with Sony I will push you in the Limon. Anyway... I really am so sad because I will not be able to post cool pictures for a while like I want unless I post older ones. Please forgive me for posting older one and now you will know why. The Snuggle is resting right now after 10 days of non-stop working but as soon as he is not I will post evidence that I do carry Sony with me and care for him and love him. You will see how I was discreetly taking pictures of a cute Turkish family too. Peace out for now :D
