Friday night Long Rock was home and so for our time together we cleaned up the garden with Anneanne and Anne so that we can prepare for cooking and getting Kavahltalık all ready |
Teyze (means maternal aunt) |
Straining the cooked vegetables and waiting for it to get cool so I can use my fingers to get every bit of the vegetable meat through the strainer |
I kept thinking of "Bubble bubble toil and trouble" hehehe |
This is the Dafne (Daphne ) Tree that we use parts of it for our Kavahltalık (also called California Laurel Bay) It is fresh and adds such a wonderful flavor to our Balkan-Turkish Breakfast Sauce |
Added potatoes to the fire, but accidentally burned them! :( |
