Dear She Devil Woman Who Yelled At Me
I don't know your name, and I really have to be nice to you for only one reason. I want to Marry the Long Rock, and We did everything you want us to do so that we can get married.
So, Why do you have to be a huge brat and a mean person. You know you are an Elected Official for hte City of Çorlu and the ONLY reason why we came to your Office wasn't because we like you, but because we have to go there to marry? So, why are you being a mean persona nd why are intruding in my dreams and instead of nice dreams of my Wedding Day I am having night mares of you being a huge B?^&h to everyone in our Wedding Party. Do you see why we don'^t want you there? Why did you have to put OUR Documents in YOUR Ugly Fake Leather Fake- Hermes (I mean the Fakeness is not only outstanding but It was such a repulsive Old Lady's Bag!)Bag... Why did you shove our Documents in your Ugly Bag? And I don't know what is more offensive: Our Documents in such a fake ugly bag or the fact your folded up our documents and shoved them in your bag!!! I don't want Official Documents of mine and from Your Government and My Government in Your Hideous Bag!
Your voice is ugly too. I guess it is to match your terrible lack of fashion and your wretched hag- type personality. Can you feel m y pain as to why I don't even want you at my Wedding at all now?
I hope we get our Documents back now, And Head over to Tekirdağ, hwere people are civil and kind and happy and don't have ugly personalities. Hey, if you are going to have an ugly fake leather plastic bag, at LEAST BE NICE!
(moral of the story::: IF you are going to have ugly clothes, don't be a bitch to me, I will Blog about you!)
I will post a picture of this woman later. And Please, Çorlu Citizens, Beware of rude women wanting to be your Marriage Justice! Beware of who you vote for!

My Update on Healthy Living
This part of my life I am really ashamed about. Over the last week, I have been dancing for excersize, but, I have been laxzed too and I have not lost weight like I have been wanting to.
I have really bad sinus problems and they are really given me a huge head ache and my upper tooth has been getting problems as a result. However, I have not had any bread, no sugars, and only been eating vegetables. There was one day where I did have ice cream , and just the other day I had home made pizza, but, I have been really strict with myself.
I've been drinking lots of water, and we have a water problem here. We don't have running water on a normal basis. Which is really frustrating.
I am not where I want to be personally, but, I am not doing really bad. I just need to exersize more and I will get down to my goal.
I can't believe I am down to just a few weeks and I will be married.
I am really really stressed out to the point where I have really bad stomach aches. It makes it hard to want to eat anything.

I can't believe I am down to just a few weeks and I will be married.
I am really really stressed out to the point where I have really bad stomach aches. It makes it hard to want to eat anything.
And This Week::
Because I am getting married, I thought red was an appropriate color for this entry.
So, here you go:::
Last week I went to the Consulate to get a paper noterized saying, Yes, Deej can marry. We had tried to go before and it was rather a long day and we did not realize you have to have an appointment before you go, because appaerntly, when you try to put it in for the Istanbul Consulate, it directs you to the Ankara Embassy, so, Americans really look out for that.
When I got my paper noterized, I have to tell you that, there are a lot of crabby Turks trying to get into the USA, and so just pay no mind to them, get to the place you need to go and don't pay attention to the crabby Turkish who don't even bother dressing nicely to come to an interview with the Consulate. (yeah!!! Many women wore Sport tights, like running tights, for an interview! And one woman refused to remove her sun glasses for the security... Go figure.)
My suggestion: You are wanting to show respect for the place you will be going, when you have an interview for any country to visit them, wear business type clothes or a nice skirt and blouse. No sports clothes, you're not going to the GYM!
Anyway. I went to the place, got my paper noterized and noticed that I had to verify, or certify my notary by a district manager of the offices in the district I will marry. For example if I am marrying in Sinop or Tabzon, the Disrtict would be Ankara, and if I were marrying in Muğla or Daçta, I would go to Adana. So, really check where your disctrict is and make sure you go to the right Consulate or Embassy... Anyway, I went to right one.
We then went to the Mayors Office and it was in Beyizt area of Istanbul. It took just a few seconds and about 45 Lira, and they stamped my paper and said OK: You can marry here in Turkey.
Then we went to Silivri and met up with the Long Rock. We ate a nice fish meal with bread and salad. We came home.
The process to marry here is really long and very hard, so let me tell you what we did.
First off, we want both countries to recognize our legal union so that we will not have to do any back pedaling. Once you start having to to do more work, it is going to mean more head aches.
So, the first thing I did was went to my Consulate by setting up an appointment and they had me sign an affidavit there, proving I am able to marry.
If you have never been married before, mark the appropriate slot, if you have bring proof of marriage dissolvement and it has to be certified. So, the Certification, or an actual papers from the lawyer is really good.
Then, you have to take the affidavit to the Marriage Office of Foreign Affairs. Each district is a different place.
Then you need to have:
Proof of your Spouse is able to marry 10 Lira
Both of you need an itkemetkah (proof of address) 3 lira
Your Passport needs to be copied and translated by an official translator (usually a Lawyer can do that, you have to ask around) 90 Lira
The Passport that is translated then needs to be noterized, and approved by the city. That is another 45-50 Lira.
Doctor Approval that you both are able to marry: 150 Lira
(this is usually done at 8 in the morning and don't eat after midnight before you go, the one test you need will take the next day, 3 pm, but there are more tests they do that take about 3 weeks, so, ours was fast, you might want to give it time especially if you live in a smaller city. Bride and Groom needs them)
Professional Pictures of you both, you tell them it is for your Red Book and they will do it.
Then you take everything to the City Hall where they have the Marriage Justice. They will ask you what day you want to marry, and you will tell the day, and then you give them all your papers.
Well, you are supposed to have a choice of the wedding day, unless you live in Çorlu and the woman at the City Hall is jealous of you and does not want you to marry on the Wedding date you planned. At which point we said, "Ok, that is fine we will marry on July 4th which is a Thursday." She got more annoyed and said That because I am a foreginer, I have to have proof that I am living here and that my itkemetkah is not valid. We said, OK and we went to a few places and got a verification of my physical address, and then we had it stamped by the notary so it was official, and we rushed it back to the woman (mind you the Justice is the very woman that is supposed to marry us) on which case she said she did not want it that way, and there is no other way she could get it. But, you know when we were in there the first time she was really really rude me to and even went as far as telling me I did not know how to write, and I did not know how to talk Turkish. She said some really very rude things and it made The Loıng Rock super angry. We had all the papers we needed and she put all our papers in her very own purse and asked for The Long Rocks Phone number and house number and said she lived two streets down from us and that she was going to call us. We have not heard from her. She did however, allow all the people that went ahead of us int he line to chose their wedding dates, and even told them, yes, see you then, and the couple that was behind us when we left the first time to get more papers, and still she had not given us any indication of allowing us to marry and was continually rude to me and The Long Rock. At one point she yelled at me and was asking me my name, but, when people yell at me and put me under stress I can't talk and even I start to stutter. And so I was not able to answer her because I got really clammed up. She was more rude to me and I was trying to be really nice to her. It was a horrible expereince and we both realized when we came home we should have made copies of EVERY THING before we took everything to this crazy person. We doni't know if she will take everything and not give it back or what she will do iwth the papers.
Indeed we are really upset with her. If we don't hear from her tomorrow, Monday we will go into Mayors Office and we will complain.
This is another reason, my dear American friends why you really ought to be aware of where you marry outside the USA. It helps that if you are marrying a foreigner, one of you know the language you are marrying the country. And know your rights.

If it is two Americans marrying in Turkey and you want to marry here, I would highly suggest you know where to go and what to do BEFORE you come here and you need to have all your papers ready to go at least a few weeks before the big day, because sometiems people think that there is not much to it and later, you will be extremely disappointed. In our case, we wanted to marry on Sunday, July 7th. We tried to find a Salon with another date, but we were not able to. So, we settled for this date. Well, problem is that the person that can marry us did not want that wedding date for us. She said she did not want to come out on that day, and so we will marry on the 4th of July, and we will have our Reception on the 7th of July and they are both at different places. Some Justices that will marry you will be willing to come out to your wedding place, and others are not, and she refused to marry us in the Reception venue. We have to go to her Office. So keep that in mind when you are looking for places to marry, as well. Especially if you are will ing to marry outside the USA. Oh, and Don't marry in Çorlu. The She Devil is not a nice lady.
July 4th and we're ready to get hitched then! Woot!

What A CRAZY Day!!!
My day can only be summed up in one word: CRAZY!
The Long Rock was only here for just a little over 24 hours because lately he will not have days off because "that is how things are here" and so, he had just called me to tell me he arrived in Silivri safely. His mom, Mom U had just went to the Doctor Office to talk to the Doctor to see if she can get an appointment for me (Thanks Doctor Female!!!). I have really bad sinus problems and things have been so terrible the past week my teeth have been hurting me because of my sinus problems. I have been to a Dentist who throughly checked my teeth and there is no problem in my mouth. She said that it was all in my sinuses and that I needed to get to a Family Doctor.
Well, Mom U was talking to me and telling me about somethings when Dad U started yelling, (Her Name) Come out here! In the Garden! Someone is there!!! I have taken a decongestant and so my reaction time has been really slow. I did not know what was going on and trying to get my shoes on.
I heard yelling and Mom U went out to see what was happening. Dad U was taking off own the street as he had clled me outside and told me to help. I go out after the fact and this is what happened.
When Mom U was called outside, a kid (about 20 years old but really small built) was in our Garden, behind our house. In the back there, there is a wall that is about 6 feet 6 inches in height. That one is on the West side of the back of our building. There is another wall that is about 12 feet that is on the North side of our building but that is North, and then to the west of this garden which is pretty enclosed is the back of a small family owned business. This business sells various plumbing parts to construction companies and things like that. Well, When Mom U had left to go to talk to the Dr to see if I can visit tomorrow, I went to the bathroom and while I was washing my hands I heard a huge crash. I thought it was someone outside and to the north east of us as there is a lot of construction going on there, and it is common from time to time to hear bangs. Well, I didn't think a whole lot about it. But, then, when Mom U was called to the back, she is seeing a guy, climbing the wall of the back of the business. See, the business wall is about 15 feet. She said, "What are you doing?" the kid said, "I work here." She said, "If you work there why are you trying to climb on the wall and not use the front door like a normal person?" she then said "Get out of here!" He jumped down and scratched his hand and had a knife. He started swinging it at her and dad U and then upson hurting himself more he said "I hurt myself I need a bandaid" she said "Youre not getting anything! You're a thief!" Her husband is telling her keep him there so I can find his friends. She is trying not to get attacked by an idiot with a knife, and I am inside the house, head full of decongestion trying to get my shoes. (It really took me that long?!?!) The thieves took off, ran to the East side of the house where a car was waiting for the two punks and a driver, and they ran off, where Baba U had decided to chase them to see if he can get a license plate and description of the car, and I had given him his phone so he might even tried getting pictures while calling the police.
When I got out there, on the wall of the east side (mind you that is a tiny business the back part of the business) there was a ladder but one of those cheap flimsy types that are for using in the kitchen. Then a balcony guard that goes on the wall of a balcony as a railing, it was put on tis side trying to be used as a ladder higher (slightly) than the ladder, and the bathroom window was being used as the panel part to boost the kid up to the roof of the small business. the Ladder? He brought with him, the railing? He had to have known it was there from before and was trying to plan doing something with it for a couple of days. He dropped his baseball cap in the garden when he was swinging at Mom U.
Police came. 4 of them. Neighbors came. ALL of them. people were talkng about what they saw and heard and things they saw from the other day. The whole neighborhood was up in a huge excitment and fear. The biggest was, "Are these bad kids coming back?" and I pointed out, "It's daylight, that shows a lot of nerve, aggression and they are thugs, and really very dangerous." Readers borad daylight and trying to break into a business, and attempting to assult my Turkish mom. They messed with the wrong family. Well, the funniest part of it was afterward, when Anne (meaning Mom in Turkish) is safe. I started thinking about it. Here someone is breaking into the home, and Baba is calling Anne and I to come out and do something. HAHAHA.. That was really funny. Think about it. DEEEEEEEEEE... Come protect me! Well, I am sad to have taken those decongestants. Because, I would have been faster and more alert and I would done everything to portect the home and family. It would not have been pretty for the stupid thug. He got away for now. He better hope to not come back. He will not be so lucky.
Oh Yeah, I got my Doctor appointment tomorrow! YAY!

An Open Letter
Dear Mr (Powerful Man) in (Some Country)
You don't know me. You may never have the honor of meeting me and greeting me to your beautiful country. That is ok. There are millions of your own people that you will never have a chance to meet, yet alone some lowly American. But, I wanted to write you a public and open and honest letter. Why? Because I care for this great country.
I came here three years ago. I did not know your culture, your language. I was scared and I was interested in learn about Turkey. I came to visit and ended up staying here and living with the family that I am now going to be marrying into.
I have really truly learned so much since being here.
I have observed a lot here too.
I want to talk to you about my observations and my concerns for this great nation.
My first concern and observation upon coming to Turkey that concerns me is this.
People here don't wear seat belt, strap their children in the car seats, which is a huge concern to my but, what is more worrisome is that there aren't any laws that I know of that enforce those laws or even use those laws. I understand you can't control everyone all the time, but I have seen some of the craziest drivers come right from here and they are not only crazy drivers, (and I don't meant that as a compliment in the slightest degree) but, they are aggressive, rude and not at all polite. (I have been safer in Los Angeles, California traffic and people complain about them! They have never been to Turkey)
People driving down the street will have their little children crawling and climbing all over them, and the car like it is a playground for them. I have seen this on more than just a couple hundred times. In fact, I have only seen one family since I have been here for three years, strap their infant in the car seat, and when they did, it was in wrong! So, they had a little infant, I mean little, strapped into the car with a car seat, but, the infant was facing the driver. So, in an accident, the infant not properlly strapped in the car seat or in the car, can get hurt, too. I have seen children jumping all over the back seat of hte car, moms sitting in the front passenger seat w ith their babies on their laps. Do these mothers know that those babies will surely die if there were an accident? And why isn't the fine country of Turkey informing these people in Public Service Announcements? There are a few slogans I can think of on top of my head that have worked really well, and The fines could be 1,000 TL. Hey, if they don't want a dead baby, hit them where it hurts, they need to buckle those babies up!!!
The next issue that is a huge concern for me is the fact that you Turkish people have a horrible double standard in the Beaches here in Turkey. P. M. , I don't want to sound disrespectful, but, it is vulgar, and lewd to allow and even condne the tourists to come to your country and be your guests and take off their clothes. It is really preverted. I have not ever seen in my life such vulgarity and it is this way that makes it a double standard for us "Yabancilar" who come here and are good modest dressed women, and marry Turks. I would never ever ever show my body ini public like that because it is a disgrace to humanity. It really ought to be against the law. In fact, it is in USA and even in LAs Vegas, where everyone thinks is a big play ground, when really, being naked in public is perverted. I think you would be able to "clean up" the Beaches by posting signs on all Turkish beaches stating that it is against the law for ALL people to not have a bathing suit on. You know in Miami it is against the law to be naked in their beaches? I find it very offensive and I know I am not alone with this issue. I want to go to the beach without seeing naked people. Muslims are not supposed to be naked in Public and yet, you allow Nudity on the beaches in Turkey. Who wants to see naked ness on the beaches? Perverts? I propose this
Upon people coming to Turkey, post signs stating there is a new law, called a Condemnation of Lewdness law.
Anyone who takes off their clothes in public will be fined 150 TL for a warning, 450 TL for the second offense and, if it is not paid to a Police Magistrate before leaving Turkey, They will be subjected to more fines and possible jail time, plus banned from coming into Turkey for being Lewd. For Turkish Citizens that do not comply with this Lewdness law and are fined, if the fines accumulate up to 1,000 TL They will be banned from beaches, jail time and will have to pay 1,500 TL and you can take it out of their pay checks every month until it is paid off.
This law should be taken seriously. Many people who come from outside Turkey to enjoy your beautiful sites and beautiful beaches, the women who come are not seen as respectable women, because people have this mentality that "Foreingers come to Turkey to have sex, take off their clothes on the beaches and go home", and it is not the right way to think of other people, but that is "how it is here". I feel there are every women who come to the beaches think it is ok to derobe. I am here to say, it is NOT ok. I dont want to go to a beach, and see a bunch of people naked, and I don't take off my clothes on beaches or any public place. It is lewd and gives a bad message to The Turkish men here that it is OK to Rape the Foreginer Women. And, of course it is not ever ok, but, the mentality is really different with the Cultures in Europe and Turkey. For this and to protect Womena nd Children, you must have a Condemnation For Lewdness Law. I would really beseech you to do this. It would really make Turkey's beaches safer, prettier and more Family Oriented. (And you want Family Oriented)
Along with making the Beaches prettier, I have another problem. See, people here in Trakya and every beach I have been to here in Turkey, think it is ok to trash up the beaches. In fact, not just the beaches. I have driven down your highways where people will (I am not exggerating) roll down their window, throw out trash, even I have seen dirty diapers thrown out onto the highway! (I know disgusting!) And I am here to ask you to please start a "Keep Turkey Beautiful" Campaign. This will include the Lewd Condemntaion Law, Anti Sounds (people honking their horns at cute little grandmas who in Çorlu have no where to walk but in the road and idiots drive by, honk their horns at them!! ) and Littering in Turkey. I propose this. That those people who are in jail for non- dangerous crimes, petty crimes, will do community service of cleaning up litter. Also, those who litter will have to pay a fine of 500TL, but will go up after each fine, and if they don't pay this fine they can have their license revoked until they pay (BTW the Seat Buckle Law Should be named Buckle Up Turkey and ANY parents not preperly restaining their infant, toddler, child in the car with the proper seat bealt and seats are subjected to fines and their license taken away)
Those laws if they are not in Turkey, should be.
The elephant in the room I want to address, is the cray cray law you have of THY Women not allowed to wear red or pink lipstick? REALLY??? What if you hired a black woman at THY? She can't be expected to wear anyother color lipstick BUT RED because ANY other color will look hideous. PM, When did you start wearing make up to know what an asinine law this is? So, you have the utterly ridiculous Night Time Soap Opera, that for some reason you have taken very seriously and found it your mission to make Sultan Suleyman look like an angel when he WASN'T and then you have the women in the Soap Opera look like htey are gray in their faces because you will not allow them to wear make up (Which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen) then you went to THY and toldl them they cant wear red lipstick or pink lipstick. But, yet, you have Esra Erol (another stupid TV Show) who wears hideous clothes and from time to time her make up looks bad, you have the morning show woman that helps find Lost and dead family members Mujgan (??) and she wears not only really bad make up but who does her ward robe? Her clothes are ugly! (The same person that finds Ezra Erol's clothes perhaps?) Then you have another Man-Turned Woman- who wears about the worst make up ever, and you pick on the THY women? Why? Why could you just say No make up or hair styles and colors that distracts and looks unprofessional, including Tattoos??? which by the way, many girls here in Turkey have a skin tone that when wearing Pastel colors as make up makes them look really bad. Why don't you ban Clown Make up instead? Why don't you tell the Man Woman to stop hurting my eyes and tell him to wear decent normal dresses, and wear nice make up that doesn't make him look so much like a clown? Why are you picking on the THY Women? Why are you double standard like that?
While I am asking, "Why?" here is a riddle for you. You don't like someone, so you throw them in jail. Because you have the power to do so. Are you a bully or a real elected Government Leader who really cares about your country? When are you releasing the people from jail who have done nothing wrong, like say, the journalists? Then release the Military? Why are you a bully and why are you starting to become an oppressive leader that does not look at your Human Rights? When are you going to better your country?
I am closing but this will not be my last open letter to you
Sincerely
D

I am closing but this will not be my last open letter to you
Sincerely
D
