As I was saying in my first blog about this summer's adventure I was talking about how I did not know what to do. Should I return to Turkey? Should I stay in my homeland and look for a job?
I was not sure what to do. My dad said that he spoke to many people who thought that I would be able to get a job in the USA especially in Las Vegas. I was thinking that I would be able to get a job in grocery store, as a cashier or in the cash counter. I would be really good doing that.
Well, dad and I walked about a mile to the bank so that I would be familiarized with the neighborhood and how to walk there should I decide to live in that neighborhood.
I was talking to someone that works at the bank. She said she would allow me to use her as a friend reference. How elated I was. Not only that, everywhere I went in Las Vegas, I got the same reaction. That they were always hiring and that they want myself but The Long Rock to come out because many people visit from Turkey and they do not speak Turkish but the Turkish do not speak English and need someone to help them with the language. Well, Long Rock Speaks much better English than I could ever speak Turkish.
Well, after coming back from the trip to the bank, my mom and the three kids and me all went to my uncles house to visit. It was so nice seeing my uncle. He is so amazing and we had a wonderful time being able to catch up on some things. I told him that I was hoping to find a place and a job there and I wanted to be able to live out in Vegas. He hugged me and when he hugged me good bye he said, "I would love if you came out to live here. We need to see more of each other and if you live here we will". Yes, Uncle R we do and yes, R we will!!!! I love this uncle as my own big brother and that he is. Really just like a big brother to me. Well, we were there a couple of hours. I meant to go out to his pool and swim but I enjoyed spending time with my cousin and he is not an out side sort of guy. And I was enjoying the visit with my uncle and kids. So in the house it was. And It was quite enjoyable. I loved what he did with his house.
He designed his home on his own for a class he took in College. Then he built it and it is the most amazing house ever. Then, he designed his own pool and his own ecosystem in the back yard.
He put in a few gorgeous fish but oddly some fish he never ever even planted there had come on their own. They spawned there in his ecosystem!! Then, he has turtles. I would be able to show you the back yard, a pic of the fish and turtles and my son talking to the uncle and cousin, M and just how lovely his remodeling was.
That is wonderful that there is such a good job market in Las Vegas. I would bet with long Rock's job experience in hotels that he would be able to get a job pretty easily. I'm so glad that you found the same thing to be true.
ReplyDeleteI think he will be able to, and it is close to AZ and yet conveniatnly still far enough from The Death Star.
